Alien 3 or Alien Resurrection?

Which one was better in your opinion?

reply

"Alien³" by a landslide. "Resurrection" should never have been made. It was a goofy, gooey, gory mess of a movie. Dan Hedaya saluting? Winona Ryder an android? Intergalactic biker gang types? A Ripley/Xeno hybrid? Really?

reply

exactly. Alien³ concludes the series on a bitter but also poetic way.

THE END.

Alien 3 has its definite flaws, but I feel it is the better of the two movies. Alien Resurrection had a few good sequences, but it was to all over the place. Why didn't the guy shake the alien off his foot! Hybrid human-xeno? Burning wires opens doors that didn't exist 5 seconds ago? The last one is a small one but, watch the movie and count how many times little bs happens that make no sense... Alien 3, I won't list your flaws today, but you win!

Alien 3 is the most underrated Alien film. Alien Resurrection has its moments, and you have to give it props for being a completely different sort of film, but as an Alien film it is a bit of a mess. Alien 3's assembly cut is fantastic.

I'll go with alien3. Alien resurrection jumped the shark by resurrecting riply and trying to play the human hybrid alien angle. Also worth noting that riply gets colder and colder through out the series and by the time end of alien resurrection came out she was nearly the villian.

reply

You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

reply

Alien: Resurrection but only because it's not as boring.

reply

3, because it was more ambitious, idiosyncratic and not silly...

reply

Resurrection was very silly but it did have Brad Douriff in it as a mad scientist which was ace!
I actually really liked Alien 3 the assembly cut.

reply

Alien 3 easily wins but I love Resurrection too
