i know its only been a month or so since season 2 came out, but does anyone know when season 3 may be released. im really eager to have the the whole set.

I agree that we should use tvshowsondvd.com. It gives us an opportunity to try to make a difference. Maybe it will work, maybe not, but if enough of us vote, it has a better chance of making a difference than if we do nothing.

Bear in mind that if these eps have been taped/DVDd from Hallmark, FX or some similar channel, they'll have bits missing. Hallmark in particular were terrible for cutting scenes or parts of scenes in order to fit in more commercials. At least with the 'official' release DVDs we're getting great sound/picture quality and uncut eps!

DO NOT buy this set from them. I made that mistake and the dvd picture and audio qualtiy were extremely poor. they were taped off the hallmark tv channel and there parts that were missing or the tv channel guide was on some episodes. and one dvd was the taped show daria, luckily i got a refund..but your best bet is to wait it out, hopefully s3 will be out soon (fingers crossed)
shareIve had to catch the repeats on uk tv drama - we are 3 episodes into season 3 - every year for my birthday the last two years my partner has bought me Hart to Hart - i dont want to have to wait til next year to get the next one - although if i can catch every episode ill have had quite a big fix.

This is one series that I really love and want the whole set. I wish they would just release the last three at the same time. It is the waiting for more than a year between releases and the uncertainty that more will follow that leads to low sales. Do they not realise this?
I love Mary Tyler Moore Show too, but that won't continue past season 4 of 7, Murder, She Wrote had 12 seasons and we are only on season 7 this October. Other long running series are taking too long and the changes in format and focus on only promoting the new series is hurting the sales and release of classic series.
If they commit to a release, then see it through and give the loyal consumers their respect that is due.

I especially want to see the episode where Jonathan and Jennifer went to London. I remember watching it back in the mid 80s but my memory is very vague about it. The last time I saw a few episodes of Hart to Hart for the first time was when ITV repeated some episodes in an afternoon slot. One of them was about an exploding cigar and Max at a card game.
I've gone off-topic but basically the episodes I've described above are, I'm certain, from seasons 3 to 5.
Yes, the one where they went to London is the story of how they first met. It is actually the first episode of season 5. A great episode!
shareOh right. I honestly didn't know that was the story of how they met. All I can remember from that episode was that it seemed an assassin was constantly chasing them throughout the episode.
And that dosen't surprise me that it was the first episode of season 5, as with a lot of US shows which have an episode shot on location away from where they normally shoot, it's the first or one of the first episodes of the season. And also it may be the first episode of the season filmed.
Any news on season 3 yet? I asked Sony and all I got was a standard email saying they have no news for that item at this time.

So- since they don't even have a "set release date" for Hart to Hart then its going to be a while before it is released. I think- by reading this thread and some others- that Hart to Hart seasons one and two were fairly successful, and I don't see why we are waiting so long for the release.

Thanks for responding to my post about season 3 on DVD. A couple of weeks ago I was looking on the Sky TV listings screens and found out that UK TV Drama are showing season 4 of Hart to Hart now. I checked the episode list on EpGuides.com the next day and found out the episode I thought was from season 4 was.

I found a site called Joost, just download it. The series is on there, to be watched whenever the mood strikes you (free, btw). I haven't looked at the whole thing, but I think the whole 5 years is there.

But if you're really in need of an episode you haven't seen for a while. just download Joost.com I'm not as excited about the service as the friend who told me to download it is, but there' some interesting stuff on it...

I love all of the episodes, but particularly the one which shows how they met, when Jonathan loses his memory, and the one when Jonathan gets shot. I would have definitely been one to purchase all 5 at once if I could. I signed up to receive notice when season 3 is released so hopefully that does mean it's on its way.

But I don't think it's true. I think SONY is just playing games and teasing us. I don't know what they hope to gain by just releasing only the 1st 2 seasons of a series, not releasing the others, and not answering e-mails about it!

It's hart to believe we're still waiting for Season 3 of Hart to Hart. I think I'm going to give up hope that it will ever be released. Maybe on Blu-Ray, but I don't have a BR player.
