Jessie Blake
I’m confused about the dialogue where he was introduced.
JESSIE- Blake, Jessie. Colonel Faulkner Sir. Age, within the acceptable range. Experience, you name it I've had it. Financial status, wiped out. Cannot afford a haircut Sir.
FAULKNER- Jessie I'm glad you got my wire.
JESSIE- So am I Sir, it was my breakfast.
FAULKNER - How do you feel about working in Africa?
JESSIE- I don't care where it is Sir, except Switzerland, neatness scares the shit out of me and since I see Mr Janders sitting over there. I know we're not going up against any sweet and kindly group.
JANDERS- Thank you Jessie.
JESSIE- Yes Sir. So I'm ready and available and hungry.
FAULKNER- Your hired.
JESSIE- Colonel you've made my day. Would it be possible for you to advance me 20 pounds.
FINN- Man that's hungry.
JESSIE- I have this lady barber that charges by the inch Sir
I’m confused- possibly because I have Aspergers. And I’m American. Is this whole conversation just British wit? And was he really struggling so bad that he ate a telegram? And was he bullshitting when he said his barber charges by the inch?
