Best concert ever captured on film

Everyone was so on point I cannot think of another time I sat and watched an entire concert movie, and then wanted to immediately watch it again. The perfect show. The perfect order of guests and songs. Words cannot do it justice.

For sure. I've watched it many times. Just found it on Hulu so I'm watching again.

Vanity Fair has just published an excerpt from a book Robbie Robertson is publishing. He talks about the making of The Last Waltz, it's fascinating.

All the performances are wonderful, gives me the chills. Forty years after this film, Bob Dylan and Neil Young both performed at the Desert Trip concert here in the Coachella Valley, kicking ass.

I concur, i get chills down my back. The same i get to Floyd's Comfortably Numb.

Stop Making Sense, y'all

This and Stop Making Sense are my favorite concert films. Waiting for Columbus (Little Feat) is my favorite live album.

Might just be. I don't think I've watched another concert film as many times as this. Every song and performance is just amazing. Never gets old.

Just for the performances of The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down and Van Morrison's performance of Caravan, which are out of this world. Great to see Dylan, not his greatest performance but it's Dylan. Love how in awe Neil Young is just been on Stage with the Band. Muddy Waters and Mannish Boy is just awesome as well. Great to see Richard Manuel, Rick Danko and Levon Helm in fine voice, nothing can beat them. I love the little interviews that intercut between performances.

Definitely one of the best concert's caught on film. It's top 5 of Scorsese's best films imo.
