As far as trying to follow one of the greatest movies ever made , well they did okay i think, and i actually enjoy jaws 2 but obviously it doesn't come close to the original !

Jaws 2 is a very underrated sequel.
Is it as good as Jaws? No, but then again not many movies are.
And not being able to reach the predecessor doesn't mean it's automatically a "bad movie".
I do not see how the teenagers were annoying, as in "unnaturally annoying".
They're teenagers, what do you expect? They acted completely believable.

Big plastic shark - just like in Jaws, where you could even see his rubber teeth bend - yet you applaud that movie while you trash this one although they share the same "flaw". Busted, hypocrite.
No suspense? Oh bullshit! The movie is full of nail-biting scenes, you just want to trash it for the sake of trashing it.
Scheider was fantastic.
Bored? You could feel his terror when he realized there's another shark. He was nervous, even panicking (beach scene!?) and later determined to bring it to an end - just as great and convincing as he was in Jaws.
Money grab, yeah well that's the purpose of Hollywood movies, to grab money. What a deep argument, man.

The fact that you are unable to explain your opinions speaks volumes and underlines my initial suspicion.
Some may agree with you, there are eough out there who love riding bandwagons because they are unable to analyze movies themselves so they rely on others to do it for them, parroting whatever they hear.
A similar case is Alien 3, it gets trashed to oblivion, but it actually is a very good movie that offers many great aspects (making the audience root for rapists and murderers to name one example), but let's trash it because some self proclaimed movie experts did so back in the 90's...
Meanwhile, there are people that enjoy movies for what they are, instead of trying to be noticed by others for their casual mainstream opinion.
