Funniest part of the movie?

When Vincent Gardenia had everyone in the livingroom together & he was questioning them, I think is one of the funniest moments in the movie. Especially the way Max acted.

The funniest part for me is the moment when Warren Beatty's character of Joe Pendleton/Leo Farnsworth has just arrived back home from the board meeting in the helicopter and the servants fire the cannon. In this moment, Dyan Cannon's character of Julia is so nervous and frazzled that she drops the bottle of alcohol that she is drinking (bourbon or brandy, I'm not sure which) in the hallway and then tries to cover it up when Joe/Leo runs past her.

The Exchange between Mr. Jordan and The Escort (Buck Henry)shortly after Joe arrives at the Way Station is hilarious. Upon learning that Joe refuses to board the shuttle:

But that's impossible. Did you explain the rules to him?

Yes, sir.

Quite clearly?

Yes, sir.

And what was his rebuttal?

He took a coin out of my ear.

That scene was really funny also. I really loved James Mason's performance as Mr. Jordan in this movie.

Reading this page made me want to see this movie again, so I'm watching it on my iPhone using Amazon Instant Video!!!

As I love puns, I appreciate when Dyan Cannon says she should be "canon"ized for murdering Farnsworth. But that's just my opinon

I like the part where Warren Beatty has returned in the helicopter. Inside we see an already nervous wreck Julia walking past a tray of alcoholic drinks. Flash back outside where they fire the cannon. It not surprisingly goes off very loud and scares Julia very badly who then goes back to the tray and takes a big gulp from one of the glasses. The Warren Beatty character then enters and just says high nonchantly which startles her, causing her to drop the glass she's holding.

Just the fact that she decides to take a drink because the cannon scared her is priceless.

At the end of the movie when the butler is being questioned about what Farnsworth talked to him about before his disappearance. When he brought him hot cocoa, Farnsworth had said "I wish the marshmallow would last longer," And the butler had replied "Me too." And then Farnsworth had talked about cookies... lmao
