7.2
wtf?!! One of the greatest movies ever made gets a rating this low? This got to be in the high 9's and in the tops for greatest movie ever made! Fucking Pathetic!

shareI agree
Im not even a fan of musicals but Grease, along with West Side Story are two classics that would make a great double feature at The Alamo Drafthouse (in the US) or a similar place that caters to older movies and marathons
lol.
Im in your boat. I think i'm a fan of a total of five "musicals" ever made. I never liked the idea and dont even think this is one but being so close to it is it should be in tops.
I've seen musicals that are musicals from beginning to end and that's what I really consider musicals. This had dialogues and other stuff, like comedy.
But considered musicals, I'd enter Saturday Night Live if that's even considered a musical.
Nightmare before Christmas one of my all-time favs.
and
Hedwig.
I'd probably go 8 and I don't enjoy that many musicals. I think its just a classic movie that everyone should see.
shareStill I'd go with 9. There isn't that many movies like this and this movie is the originator and the influencer in so many of these types of films.
It's so original and enjoyable even for those that dont like musicals that it should be given special treatment. Somehow I dont think an 8 would do it.
7.2 is still pretty good imo.
shareIf you look at whats above you’d see why it’s disrespected.
shareI’m not much into musicals but I must say I give Grease 9/10.
Saturday Night Fever and Urban Cowboy defined eras in my opinion and they have their haters too.
At least a 9 which is why I hate it. How can you watch this movie and not get puffed nostalgia. It’s perfect and such a joy.
I actually got into those movies late. Recently and damn are they good. Travolta is so underrated. I actually love Stayin’ Alive.
Well there you go. If a man who’s name is bigbadwolf and has the number of the beast in his name can appreciate and love Grease, then damn it, anyone can!!! 😃
shareWere ONJ and JT the Barbara Stanwyck and Cary Grant of their time?
I've never seen Grease, and there is a reason for it.
I wouldn't mind watching it and having a good time, but it seems like a silly fluffy movie.
People complain that Citizen Kane isn't so great, but at least it tried to be.
This just seems like a fun flick that shouldn't be taken too seriously.
Maybe.
It isnt supposed to be taken seriously but seeing it you’d see all the iconic influences it has had on the cultures.
I think watching it returns you to nostalgia like no other movie and then you’ll start to notice the magic.
It’s definitely in my must watch collection.
People with no nostalgic feelings for it find it too silly.
