Aren't those guys academics? Cuz they wouldn't be over paid and might not be over concerned with the fineness of their ride.

they would have been well paid given their ages in the movie. they wouldn't be caught in an old klunker.

I have a friend who is a doctor who put over 400k miles on a Toyota Camry. It was pretty old and run down looking by the time he sold it for a newer car. It felt like he had that car forever also because his practice was around 2 miles from his home.
