Should be remade

I'm not a fan of remakes and this movie is a classic....grossed alot of money in it's day, along with the sequel. This movie is ripe to be remade though. The acting wasn't great in the original and the fight scenes could be polished and made more hard hitting. But the question is "who would play which part?" I am truly stumped as to who can play the lead role of Philo Beddoe.

Philo - Brad Pitt or Matthew McConaughey
Orville - Mark Ruffalo or Sean William Scott or Steve Zahn
Lynn Halsey-Taylor - ?
Ma - Lin Shaye
Echoe - Elisha Cuthbert(?)
Tank Murdoch -
Cholla - Horatio Sanz

I'm in absolute agreement with the people who do not want 'Any Which Way but Loose' to ever be remade. Unfortunately, our collective opinion on the matter won't prevent the studio exec's from trying to cash in on a already proven commercial success in 1978. So, just in case the film is eventually remade... despite our opposition? Then, here is the list, who I think are the best suggestions for the cast of the 'Any Which Way but Loose' remake:

Philo - (1) Matthew McConaughey or, Brad Pitt as the number 2 selection.
Orville - Mark Ruffalo or, if Matthew McConaughey plays Philo? Get Jason London as Orvill. But, if Brad Pitt plays Philo? Get Ed Norton as Orville.

Lynn Halsey-Taylor- Reece Witherspoon(Great choice, can't think of anyone better)

Ma - Betty White(the one and only choice)
Echo - Allson Mack(yeah, I'm okay with that choice)
Tank Murdoch - Mickey Rourke(good choice but I think that Clint Eastwood should be offered the part first, would make a nice ironic connection between the original and remake)

Cholla - Kevin Farley or, Woody Harrelson
Elmo- Sean William Scott(hey, why not)
Clyde- A well trained Hollywood ape(of coarse)
Putman- Thomas Gibson or, James Marsden
Frank- Chris Rock (good choice, but Martin Lawrence might be better?)

In my opinion NO! And with the PC culture of today it would be a complete mess.
