One of the best horror sequels ever
Without question.
shareI agree. It's my favorite of the trilogy, even though the first is great, by itself. I just realized Lew Ayres and Sylvia Sydney are in this. I've seen the movie a lot, but didn't realize who they were. Makes my appreciation even higher.
The last scene between Mark and Damien gets to me. I think it's the reason it makes it my favorite. He still has his humanity for a good part of it.
Credo ergo sum
Agreed.
Overlooked and underrated.

Wait a minute... who am I here?
I also thought it was a very good sequel despite satanic films bring one of my least fav horror sub genres.
shareIt's alright, the story would've benefited from a few more rewrites and ditch a few pointless plot devices which overcomplicated it and some of the actors could've needed some extra blocking for more believable performances.
shareI agree. The final scene between Mark n Damian could have been handled better. It's too melodramatic. I always blame the director for scenes that had great potential but wind up leaving more to be desired.
share& So does Lance H. I think Mike Hodges would have done that scene way better. Actors can only do what the directors tell them to do.
shareYes, it's one of my favorites as well. I love it even more than the first one.
shareYes, I enjoy the film more than the first, which I have never been a major fan of. Sacrilege I know, but I like the reboot better.
shareI just watched the reboot. It's the exact same movie as the original but with worse actors.

Saw this on Netflix last night, for the first time in years. Both 1and 2 are excellent, strong actors in the lead roles and creepy, scary scenes with sinister music. Love it!
So roll me further, bitch
Agreed. Its my favorite of the Omen films (it has the best ending out of all of them, imo).
"Martyr me for Cordis Die."
