C.W. McCall (Bill Fries) dies aged 93

Bill Fries died on April 1st. Convoy was based on his song (there were different versions with different "endings" - Duck dies in the original).

One of the most iconic Country songs of the 70s. And that lead to one of my all-time favourite movies: Convoy.

Now the man has passed at ag 93. But his song - and the movie - will live on forever. RIP Mr. William Fries, Godspeed and I'm 10-10 on the side.

I still have the 45 of Convoy. I remember the CB radio craze in the 70s.
