Who are the people voting that have kept this down to a low score ?

I can't see any reason why this film isn't an 8/9 rated film. I am a big fan and as such am biased but I don't think it should be rated so poorly.

Any thoughts?

I think a lot of people don't relate to surfing as a culture or way of life, so they don't see it. BW is one of the greats, a fictional look at real people. It's fun to identify them. Gary Busey is obviously Mickey Dora.
