The stupidest theory makes sense

I am the first to admit this is a really, really stupid theory. It's also very unlikely to have happened.

However, when nothing intelligent makes sense, the stupid must be correct..right? Well, at least 'plausible'? I don't know.

I am trying to figure out why George Lucas not only basically mutilated and RRRRpd his own work, but was so hell-hent and adamant about it that now anyone 'new' watching these movies, will not even KNOW that once upon a time, there were 'good versions' of these movies.

Why can't he let the childishly edit-vomited and the good versions to co-exist at least?

Such a stupid theory, but it WOULD make sense in my opinion..

Now, why would any 'genius' do this? First they make something that everyone adores, then they decide to put that very thing on the cutting table and slice it to beyond recognition, barely leaving the good parts in and pushing horrible, childish filler, and so much of it in front of everything so you can sometimes only see some crappy texture slowly moving around instead of what you are supposed to see.

It's like talentless hack replaced Lucas and wanted to 'contribute' their ridiculous, talentless, stupid, boring, irritating, childish and groan-inducing, cringy ideas and that way make this adored 'franchise' their own. Then that same idiot would make their OWN trilogy and think it would be just as good, then be shocked that it wasn't.

What could explain this? How can Lucas be replaced by someone, when we clearly see it's the same Lucas?

...or is he?

The name of the 'first trilogy' is 'CLONE Wars'. I am emphasizing this, because of its remarkable 'coincidence' (or is it?).

What if George was cloned, and the clone replaced the original, and wanted to make ITS mark, but because a clone lacks the genius of the original, could only make a pig's breakfast of the whole thing?

I know it's stupid, but wouldn't it explain EVERYTHING?

First there was a genius with a vision, a 'treatment' he painstakingly edited to 800 versions until some editor then 'fixed' it in post. Ok, so maybe he wasn't a genius to begin with, but at least he accepted the end result instead of wanting to alter it until it's not good enough to be a satuday morning cartoon.

Then the usual fame and fortune hit, which is when the 'powers that be' get interested in you. That is when clones are made. There has been talk about clones of presidents throughout history, clones of rich and 'important' people, from Beatles to president Jimmy Carter having multiple 'robotoids' that kept malfunctioning (which WOULD explain a lot of the weirdness).

George certainly rose to wealth and fame very fast, but he never looked happy, never looked satisfied. He always wanted to tinker, edit and mutilate for some reason.

Could it be that the original George was pretty happy, but then he was replaced by some more 'useful clone', but this clone was not happy, because he had not created anything, or even contributed.

So the clone started doing its own thing, editing the 'masterpieces' of old, to make its mark on things. A clone is not going to be a visionary genius, so it's like letting an ape-toddler in the same room with priceless Monet paintings and then presenting the result as 'slightly-edited-but-just-as-good-Monet-Art', when even a hillbilly kid could tell they are just crappy blotches on top of the original beauty.

I know it's a stupid theory, and I don't think that's what really happened, but what else could explain ALL of the stupidities Lucas has done ever since these movies - and explain it so flawlessly?

Sometimes only the stupidest theory makes sense..

Every time a 'new' youtuber watches the 'special editions' and wonders how they made those 'animals in the desert' back in the 1970s without questioning the possibility of such a crappy, high-tech feat (visually crappy, but technologically advanced), my ulcer gets just a little bit worse.

They watch the 'special editions' without questioning the horrible mutilations. Why can't they ever watch the 'despecialized editions'? Why can't the chat or comment section INFORM them of this awful mistake they are making?

WHY ARE ALL OF THEM WATCHING THE CRAPPY MUTILATED VERSIONS?! (I know about two youtubers that watched the despecialized editions; Decker Shado and some probably italian hag, surprisingly)

It literally hurts. (No, I don't mean 'figuratively')
