I'm just getting into the Bond series. Thus far I have seen only Golden Eye and License To Kill. I remember going to the drive in with my parents at age 6 and seeing AVTAK. But I remember nothing about it. So I ordered it (along with a couple of others). Is it really as bad as it's being rated on this thread? It's on 75% of your worst lists. Thanks.

I know a lot of people don't like A View To A Kill, but it's one of my favorites because it was the first Bond movie I ever saw, my dad took me to see it in the theater when I was 6 and I've been a Bond fan since. So there's a nostalgic soft spot there, plus I think Walken makes a great villain. You Only Live Twice makes my worst of the 60's simply because of the ridiculous way they took Connery and "made him Japanese". I know a lot of people like FYEO, but it has a very weak plot centered around a pointless MacGuffin and is almost entirely forgettable. I can't believe so many people didn't like Octopussy, I thought it was pretty good myself. I know there were a few goofy parts (nothing any more goofy than Connery being turned Japanese or the slide whistle during the car jump in TMWTGG though) but I thought the plot was really good. I also think that Moonraker gets too much of a bum rap, but I can understand why. I personally enjoy it though.
