Still hard for me to believe it was Melinda Dillon (Christmas Story, Close Encounters, Magnolia) showing off those fantastic breasts in the bedroom scene with Newman. She had quite the nice, perky set back in 1977.

Thanks for pointing her out, I didn't realize it was Ralphie's Mom. She was also the Mom in Harry and the Hendersons.

After seeing Slap Shot, I know why I liked her so much. :-)

i always loved Melinda Dillon. she looks like an older version of a girl i had a mad crush on in high school. i sat through "close encounters" many times in the theater back in the day, although i thought Teri Garr was hot too.

Complete agreement with all the previously stated accolades (as soon as you've seen a pair you gotta see 'em all), but the BEST thing about that whole scene is that while I'm staring slack-jawed, Newman and Dillon are just chatting nonchalantly, cool as cukes, as if she's not giving the perkiest performance that he's front row center for. Damn...

Now when I see "Christmas Story," I picture Ralphie as an infant, enjoying those twin peaks at mealtime, with the Old Man walking in to warn, "You'll poke your eye out, kid!"
