Moral of the Story

Even if your fiancé dies in WWII, you should keep your promise of waiting for him with your cat, even if you die and end up possessing the house you live in and have to eat teenage girls to survive... which makes you sort of evil.

Because love is the strongest force in the universe.

The other moral: Kung Fu is so cool!

There is no objective reality... and that's Sucker Punch

Holy Mother of God! This is one of the weirdest movies I've ever seen! Someone from Movechat recommended it and I saw it was on TCM so I watched it. It is CRAZY! There are no words. But I did love some of the visuals. The amputated fingers playing the piano and the head hanging in the well are cool things I've never seen in any other movie. Was this a serious horror film? Japan just has a very different sensibility and it's appealing but I have trouble understanding it sometimes. That's the beauty of foreign film though!

I am watching it on TCM for the first time right now and I agree...it is beyond weird..but in a good way lol

i watched Natural born killers on mushrooms a couple times, this woulda been just as heavy of a trip

Natural Born Killers is the perfect film to compare this too. Both are all over the place, trippy, and scary.

reply

Yeah of course.
