This movie is now public domain and you can watch it on google video.

As Karen's body is being killed/dragged, you can clearly see that the killer is wearing white patent leather children's shoes and white tights. Mrs. Treboni is definitely not. It is the clothing that Alice is wearing though.

I'm still watching it for the first time, so I can't comment on the other killings, but Karen was definitely without question killed by Alice.

the identity of the killer or killers in this movie is something that has always bothered me. i'll have to see it again to figure out who is killing whom. by the end of the film, i still wasn't clear who the killer was. i got the idea that there might have been two or more killers, alice AND mrs. treboni, or possibly even other people. i get the idea, though, that the director doesn't mean for things to be ambiguous. he assumes that the audience is able to figure out the identity of the killer or killers, but i for one was not able to do so. so, for me at least, the film is ambiguous, not in a satisfyingly mysterious way, but in a frustrating way.
