Although the movie mentions that the computer is a genuis in biotechnology. Not enough explaination is given in the movie to make this incredible leap believable.
Perhaps a couple of scenes explaining that the computer some how obtained sperm elsewhere and genetically manipulated it would have helped. Creating sperm from nothing goes a little beond belief.

Yeah, they kind of cop out of giving a believable explanation for this. So he uses a cell of the woman and somehow adapts the DNA to being his. So he creates a synthetic sperm cell, but how the hell a computer could translate its core into DNA is not really dealt with sufficiently IMO.

The explanation in the movie doesn't bear close scientific scrutiny. If that's an untenable problem for anyone, then the solution would be to only watch hard science fiction movies written by actual scientists.
