I noticed when TRAVIS went to watch the 1st PORN, he got like 6 packs of CANDY, a SODA, and a BOX of POPCORN for under $2.00 Now I must admit, even for 1975/76 that's SUPER CHEAP. If it were today, those items would be at least $20 at the CONCESSION STAND.

Cheaper for back then or not, it is kinda humorous that he buys all that to enjoy a porno (or that they sell it there in the first place). Well actually... no. As it's made clear, those flicks are the only kind Travis watches/knows about.

In the late '60s and '70s my neighborhood theater charged fifty cents admission. A Coke, popcorn, or candy cost a quarter apiece. So you could get the whole package (two movies, cartoons, and queasy stomach) for $1.25.
