i found out about the film through my flatmate...she has watched it since a child with her sister when they were ill and she introduced me to it.

When I was little and the Disney channel used to play really, REALLY great shows and movies non of this crap that is on these days, this was played on the air and I fell in love with it since then.
shareI was privileged to screen the New Zealand premiere of The Slipper and The Rose, and when it went into general exhibition had the pleasure of screening it twice a day for its entire season. I loved the music and it is one of the few films in my career I have not got tired of watching. Also a great fan of Kenneth More, and Michael Hordern.
