Man this was confusing (spoilers)

Not even done watching yet but lol

First there's a machine that tells him that over 1000 runners got away
then he somehow figures out that this means that there is no renewal
I watched the scene twice but still don't know how he figured that out, doesn't seem logical. unless maybe its because population numbers stayed the same? but we arent given this information.
then the machine tells him to infiltrate the sanctuary.

then he somehow becomes a real runner because his life clock expired - maybe the machine didn't have the smartest ideas? and they also didn't keep a birth register? which seems a nice feature to have in an entirely age-based society...

then on his run he walks through the love tunnel. *walks*. not run. movie could be called logan's walk.
nontheless, in the next scene, they both breath heavily as if they'd just run a marathon.

then some stuff happens and they end up killing an ice robot

then they run past a waterfall and 20 seconds later logan says "We have to find water". I have an idea, logan.
another idea would be to finally shoot that dude thats been chasing you for the past half hour of the movie.
