Like a car crash
I wanted to look away, but I just had to keep going and finish it. What a movie!
shareI wanted to look away, but I just had to keep going and finish it. What a movie!
shareWatched it on acid once. What a mistake that was lol.
shareSame here. But it has that effect on people. My mother, a middle aged woman with a slightly conservative taste in movies, experienced the same urge to watch it till the end. When I asked her what she thought of it, her answer was: "I can not explain why, even to myself, but I liked it. It's extraordinary!"
It is a mesmerizing piece and I also couldn't explain why, except that I was in a David Lynch faze when I saw it (during my university years).
I almost can't wait to watch it again and understand it even less.
shareIt's certainly one-of-a-kind. Once seen, never shaken...
shareI’ve never looked at baked chicken the same.
shareMy wife, typically a fan of action films and the like, sat through Eraserhead in its entirety. Afterward said it was "ok" with a tone of approval.
Lost Highway? Mulholland Drive? Inland Empire? Not so much.
That would make me think she only cares for the Lynchian surreal in Eraserhead, except for the fact that she really does like all of Twin Peaks and has seen all three seasons (and film) 3 or 4 times.
