By the way...the "personnel" dialogue exchange was funny. Another favorite line of mine was from Magnum Force, during the store stakeout scene: "Well, here comes three salty-lookin' dudes."

I rewatched three of them lately...Dirty Harry is even better than I remembered, The Enforcer was not as funny as I remember, and The Dead Pool was pretty much a bore

I have seen all but Magnum Force. my list so far is:

I just saw The Enforcer today. It was okay but it was missing Lalo Schiffrin's music and although a great ending for Bobby Maxwell, it wasn't as cool as Scorpio's bitter end or nowhere NEAR as creative as Mick's death.

Great question, but I literally rate them in order they were made. As a Clint fan growing up, I thought The Gauntlet shoulda coulda been a Dirty Harry flick. Ten times a better movie than The Dead Pool IMO.

DIGEORGIO : "What about me? I'm your partner."

HARRY: "I may have to move fast and I don't need too much linguini to hold me back."

Dead pool was just as awesome as Dirty Harry, Magnum force was ok, not the best.

1. Dirty Harry (a great classic that never ages)

2. Sudden Impact (a strong departure from the others in the series, being the darkest of the all)

3. The Dead Pool (A fun way to end the series, but here's to hoping for a sixth)

4. Magnum Force (A great sequel, I could have switched The Dead Pool and this seeing they're both pretty much neck and neck)

5. The Enforcer (A terrible excuse for a Dirty Harry film, it had some good one liners, but it just became a generic forgettable action flick)

Sex is like pizza, even when it is bad it's still kinda good.

***Spoilers***

1.) Dirty Harry

The villain was absolutely terrifying and it really keeps the viewer on edge the whole time. It was also a brilliant way to introduce Harry Callahan. We learn that he's a lonely man whose wife is dead, and it appears that all he really has to live for is to keep the city clean.

2.) Magnum Force

After seeing the first film, this is a great follow up as it presents Harry with a seemingly tempting choice to get rid of the thugs we know he hates and handles in a way that always gets him in trouble. It was a great who-dun-it, even if we know who it was half way through. Ultimately, he makes the right decision because while he does use controversial force, he always puts the law ahead of everything.

3.) The Enforcer

Yeah, it was a typical 70s action film with recycled villains sans the Lalo Schifrin soundtrack, but it was still well done. It may not have been the best Dirty Harry movie, but it's a great action police movie. Also, this was the first one I saw, so obviously I have a natural inclination for it.

4.) Sudden Impact

I liked how the franchise switched gears and made the villain someone with whom we could sympathize, but for me it just didn't work out as well as the others. Throughout the movie I got the feeling I was watching a BBC murder drama. It's definitely worth seeing, but not particularly memorable.

5.) The Dead Pool

I thought this one was just silly and over-the-top fantasy. Overall it's entertaining and worth watching, but do it on a rainy day.
