Do you Like, Love, or Hate this movie? Why?

I love it, I think it is one of the greatest movies around. I love it almost as much as THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE ('74). I think it is so special because the villain, Judd, reminds me a bit about myself. In one scene, Judd's rival, Buck (a sex-crazed hillbilly) and one of his girlfriends come to Judd's motel looking for a room for rent to "do the nasty" in. Judd denies them entrance, but they go in anyway.

Later, Judd punishes Buck for his intrusion by pushing him in a large pond where Judd's pet crocodile eats him. When people annoys me at school, this scene pops into my head. I wish I could express my anger like that to someone who intimidates me! i wish I had a crocodile pet of my own in my front yard.

"That ole croc'll eat anything, even ole Buck!"

Sometimes it drags, but it's a weird and fun movie. I love Neville's nonsensical mumbling performance ("don't need eyes for that- no SIR!"). Near the beginning he's looking at a porn mag, and they show him trying different pairs of glasses in an apparent attempt to soak up the porn imagery as clearly as possible.

William Finley was bizarre. And some parts were genuinely creepy (the monkey in that red lighting). I like it. I even like the music.

I've watched this movie a few times over several years. I haven't seen it in a few years. I've never thought it was that good, but the atmosphere has always stuck with me. It's just so bizarre. It may have the most bizarre atmosphere I've ever seen in a horror movie.

Bored me mainly.

don't care enough about it to hate it but it was rather mediocre

This is an interesting film and far closer in tone/feel to the original TCM than any of that franchise's sequels. I see it as the true sequel to Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Hate this movie, because it quickly deteriorates from an enjoyable croc movie into a borefest when you realize that they already filled their dead woman quota with the prostitute and they're NOT GONNA KILL ANY OTHER, instead killing ALL the men. It lost any suspence and interest because this decision was predictable, stupid and offensive.

Look at me! When you're killing me YOU LOOK AT ME!

I liked this movie. Totally bizarre and nasty. Very stylish, like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, though nowhere as intense or scary.

"Hate this movie, because it quickly deteriorates from an enjoyable croc movie into a borefest..."WTF. Don't think it was designed to be an "enjoyable croc movie." The enjoyable 'Rogue' flick from Australia might be what you were actually looking for...

I'm firmly in the middle here. I love grindhousy horror films, but I found this rather clumsy. 5/10 stars from me.

I watched it again not long ago, and like it a little more than I used to. It's not great, but it's decently entertaining nutball horror. Plus, it has amazing atmosphere. Probably some of the best atmosphere ever in a horror movie.

Actually this, TCM 1 and 2, Poltergeist, Salem's Lot, The Funhouse, Lifeforce and Toolbox Murders are all good movies. Invaders From Mars, Crocodile, The Mangler are ok. Spontaneous Combustion is pretty bad and Night Terrors is terrible.
