Totally, TOTALLY cheesy, but I love it!

It's not bad. It's a campy disaster flick typical of its time. But I do like the cast better. Lancaster, Harris, and Lee Strasberg is pretty good.
shareI was very entertained by it
shareIt's a typical soap disaster movie of the time, and I always like them. Some notable names, switching back and forth between an operations room and where the action is, and a looming disaster as time / distance runs out. I thought it was a bit less than the 6.3/10 which it is ranked, but it is interesting for its relevance to the current pandemic.
The helicopter stuff was good, as well as the one-take opening and closing scenes. There's also a great scene where the train comes around a corner, right at the camera and then the camera starts moving alongside the train, clearly a carefully orchestrated helicopter shot.
SPOILER: I had my suspicions about the religious guy all along because he kept doing something unlike a priest each time someone would walk away!
