Beautiful single opening shot

The camera drifts down over the city, and then skims over the water and then over the city. It's incredibly smooth, flawless. If you're interested in cinematography, check out the opening of this film.

I agree completely. I have always loved the opening of this film - from far above the clouds to the zoom up close to the building. The Goldsmith music underscoring the images is sublime. As a matter of the fact, the entire film is well photographed, with some beautiful color pallets for the exterior shots of the train.

It is a beautiful opening, the music and the scenery are almost dreamlike. I particularly like it when the birds fly into view. With the new cleaned up release it looks better than ever, stunning.

I had to recheck the date of the movie when I saw that opening shot. Beautiful. But landscape in that part of the world is always/often .... beautiful, picturesque etc.

It certainly was a wonderful long helicopter shot. Love how it ends up at that hospital lab building.

The end scene does the opposite - flies away from it.
