Hi folks -
I'd like to add this one to the list:
"The Believers" - not too much blood and gore but the movie has a really eerie feeling... and it's really interesting how they made the "tension level" rise, step by step, until it came to the "final showdown". It was also quite a good idea to explain some things of the past by inserting some sort of a flashback which explained much of the things that happened in the movie. (Many horror movies have the big fault that they "explain" basically nothing. The monster is just there, no one tells us from where it came; or someboy is possessed by a demon, throughout the whole movie, but it is not explained how it happened to come to this, etc. ..."The Believers" at least gives us some bits of info about the past events...
Several of the adult actors gave pretty good performances - but Harley Cross was brilliant.
(To be honest, I bought this movie rather for Harley Cross and not for the story - I've specialized a bit on collecting movies with boy actors, over the years - but it was a nice surprise to find that this is a really good movie, too ;-)
Kind regards
