How utterly inept is the police chief ?! .... Oh my god left to him without Quincy meddling in things, there would have been umpteen innocent people going to jail or blatant criminals going free ! lol
He truly was lousy at his job !
Lt. Monahan - "Come on, Quincy! He was the only one around, he had to be the murderer!"
Quincy- "I'm not even sure the cause of death was homicide."
Lt. Monahan - "Just sign the death certificate already, would ya?"

I think Danny the bartender was the only one who never harassed him.
Danny wasn't the bartender, he owned the restaurant. And he busted Quincy's chops many times. Just not when it came to police work. I loved the one when Quincy is trying to find out the secret ingredients to his sauce.

shareA much better premise than a lot of other detective/cop shows. In the real world the law would need science to make their cases air tight in many investigations. Far better than Batman where Commissioner Gordon would have just gunned down the arch villains rather than go through an endless cycle of super crimes, caught, tried then released or escape.
