Recommendations for 70s films?
I've loved Shivers for decades. I'm really into 70s horror. The more obscure and weird the better. Any recommendations?

shareIt's Alive
shareThe Brood. Very seventies, very messed up. Can't go wrong with any early Cronenberg.
Argento, but specifically Susperia and Inferno. Fantastic cinematography. Lots of gels!
The Driller Killer, and subsequently Ms. 45.
I'm not strictly staying within the seventies, but thereabouts
Who Can Kill A Child? (1976)
Day of the Animals (1977)
Eaten Alive (1976)
I Drink Your Blood (1970)
Death Dream (1972)
Alice Sweet Alice (1976)
If you like Shivers, did you like Rabid?
Thanks! I love Suspiria and Death Dream. I saw the latter in the movie theater in late 1973, but titled Dead of Night. It was filmed just north of Tampa, where I live.
I've never seen Rabid, but I added it to my YouTube list. I love all these old horror films from the 70s that are on YouTube. I intend to watch all the 70s horror films I can these next few decades. The 80s are fun too.
But there was something about the 70s...
I agree! Those late sixties through very early eighties have a certain tone that draws me in; When getting scared was still meant to be fun, before Gore Porn got completely out of control. Slow-paced, and visually moving (I'm even amazed when I watch the not-so-good ones, they are shot so well!) I don't know if it's nostalgia for my childhood or what, but those seventies' orange and brown tones make me feel at home. Reminds me of old fast food joints, lol.
And yeah, sometimes you just want a horror movie that's silly and awesome. No decade did that better than the eighties!
