Apparently, in this film, the excrement eating scenes are meant to be a criticism of fast food and a metaphor for that. But is fast food really THAT bad and bad enough to be legitimately and acceptably compared to human excrement?
And was fast food also available in the form of popular outlets in 1940s and 70s when the film came out? Cheers.
And I rarely if ever heard people or critics here shout in disagreement - "That is an insult to us fast food lovers". Lol, haha.
And in at least some areas, people officially and de-facto go out of their ways to make such statements here or there, and not just say "politely disagree" or agree to disagree or even disagree but EXPLAIN themselves.
