In cinema, for you or even in general, is there anything that is too taboo or "too much"?
Content wise, including certain acts, torture, sexuality, cruelty, violence etc, like those depicted in this movie.
And even certain matters that may perhaps not be illegal and are consensual (even if they may have had some legal and other matters about them in certain periods of time) but may cinematically, perhaps, simply be "not to your taste", even if other matters, paradoxically, that are officially wrong and whatnot, you personally don't mind, and say in action movies, or horror movies, you are not only alright with it but actively admire it, one way or another.
Or is nothing really too taboo and no subject matter, no matter how distasteful etc, is to be used as a barometer for judging film's quality? Thanks.
