What happend to the pregnant mother and her baby?

What ever happend to the pregnant woman and her unborn baby? I saw this movie a long time ago and i was wondering what happend to the mother and child. Corrie and the other woman were trying to help the mother and the baby by stealing vitamens and making sure the mother was warm. Did the woman give birth to the baby? Did they live or die?

I was on the net and read a little bit about Ravensbruk. It said on one site that babies who were born in the camp were murdered right away, useally right in front of the mother. Just wondering.

I'm reading the novel, and the baby died 4 days after birth.

If the pregnant women in the movie was meant to be Mrs. Floor from the book (I don't see that name in the cast list), then yes, the baby died 4 days after birth. The other tragedy that went with this was that at that time, men and women prisoners could communicate and Mr. and Mrs. Floor saw each other once a day. He was excuted shortly before the baby was born. I don't believe the book tells what else happened to the mother.

Corrie never mentions helping a pregnant inmate in Ravensbruck in the book, but she and her family briefly took in a Jewish woman and her baby. They were sent to a farm in the country, but were caught by Gestapo soldiers after the mother started screaming.
