Which one is more iconic or the better show. For me. As a kid growing up. I lean towards The Jeffersons. AITF to me just seemed bland as a kid. The Jeffersons hold up more.
All in the Family was more groundbreaking. I like both, but All in the Family was funnier and better written.
shareAll in the Family paved the way for a lot of shows. The first few seasons of both shows are the only ones to watch. After season 4 or 5 of both the shows changed and the quality dropped. I give All in the Family the edge, but both were quite good in their heydays.

Better? That's an opinion. However, TJ is a consistent laugh riot. The chemistry of the stars is top notch.
