I watched a re-run of this on the Sundance Channel, last night, and it was still as fall-down hysterically funny as ever. Especially, that "soup-to-nuts" routine with Gene Hackman as the Blind Old Hermit! So, to paraphrase what I said above? Let's none of us pull a George Lucas (as in "fixing what ain't even broken").

Hopefully, this never gets remade.
But if it does, hopefully they never let Will Ferrell
anywhere near this thing.
