saddest death
Robert's Vaughn's character.
shareJennifer Jones falling out of the glass elevator was the saddest. Also the fact that she screams all the way down until she hits the side of the building and then no more sounds coming from her. I always hate how they did that death scene. It was just so cruel to show it the way they did. Made a big impression on me.
shareI always feel badly for Gregory Sierra's character.
shareI don’t find the deaths ‘sad’ so much as disturbing. Disaster movies are a kind of mega-budget horror movie. Watching countless innocent people get burned, crushed, drowned and fall to their deaths is more sickening than saddening.
The biggest shock was probably Jennifer Jones. Robert Wagner and his bird have a nasty end, and the bartender getting crushed like a piece of Lego was pretty skin-crawling.
Did you mean Robert Wagner's character (Dan Bigelow)?
Robert's Vaughn's character (Senator Parker) was pushed off the side of the breeches buoy, which was unfortunate but undramatic. Dan Bigelow was the one who promised his girlfriend Lorrie that he'd be "back with the whole fire department" and tried to run through the flames with a wet towel over his head but was quickly set aflame and stumbled around in slow motion to his death. I just wonder if you got the two names confused.
I'd say Vaughn's death was sad. He was trying to keep order and save lives just to get pushed off when he's trying to stop a panic.
shareLorrie. She seemed like a nice person who acted very bravely under the circumstances. Then she either burns and/or falls to her death. Bad sh*t happens to nice people.
