Sybil Danning/"Eugenie" - where?

Just watched this for the first time. Was surprised to see Sybil Danning in the credits at the end, as I didn't notice her during the movie.

Just skimmed through it again, and found she only appears in one scene. She's with the Queen at the falcon hunting scene.

Wow, seen this numerous times but never knew Danning was in it. Maybe she filmed more that ended up on the cutting room floor. Does she speak?

reply

No, doesn't get a line at all. I see she's credited in The Four Musketeers as the same character, but I haven't seen that. I wonder if she gets to speak at all.

I remember reading that the two movies were made pretty much simultaneously. In fact I seem to remember the makers tried to get away with paying the actors for just one shoot, so generating far more profit for the second film. Think they had to pay up in the end though.

I expected that was the case, when the end of the the first movie has a bunch of scenes that obviously appear in the sequel. The Salkind's later tried to repeat that (filming part 1 and 2) together when they did Superman with Richard Donner, but obviously that didn't quite work out and they had to abandon the idea and finish part 2 later with Richard Lester.

I just uploaded a few stills of Sybil Danning from the movie to IMDB, but they won't show there for day or two.

Cool, I'll keep an eye out for them 👍

When you see them, maybe you can help clear up for me the brunette on the right in that scene. Is she "Beatrice" played by Gitty Djamal or "Kitty" played by Nicole Calfan? And is she the same brunette that appears a few times earlier (in carriage with Milady at the beginning, and later spying on The Queen and The Duke in their first meeting). Doing a few searches I see the same picture credited to both actresses, which is confusing. I THINK it's Gitty Djamal, but since she doesn't get explicitly named anywhere I could see, I wasn't sure.
