Does anyone know whether this movie used only the grounds, or showed the exterior of the mansion, or filmed interiors in the mansion?

Does anyone know what fictional building Greystone Mansion was supposed to be, and the fictional location of it?

I have been to the Greystone Mansion a couple of times. It’s up in the hills above the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Boulevard. One time was actually my firm’s Christmas party and the other time we crashed a party there.

I just saw this movie for the first time last night and I didn’t realize it. I remember when I was there I would comment that it looked like a place that would have dungeons. I think both exterior and interiors were shot there now thinking about it. When I went, it much later than when this movie was shot. I do remember the black and white floors. And some of the gardens. The exterior of the house in the movie must have been another house. I did walk down the street to the Polo Lounge the second time I was there as I lost my ride.
