I hated H2. I just felt he could have done a different movie entirely if he wanted to go that way. Laurie was a bitch, the dialogue was garbage and Michael just wasn't Michael. He was a hobo with anger issues. Besides a few scenes mainly the opening sequence and when Brackett finds Annie, I thought it was very poorly done. Not from a visual standpoint, it was a very atmospheric movie, but his dialogue just turns me off. Maybe people talk like that in the southern states but where I live very rarely people talk like that. Sure we swear but its not every couple words.

His original Halloween I hated at first but then accepted it after a while. The origin part was way to white trash but that was necessary to make Michael snap and unleash the evil that was inside of him. I thought Laurie was more bearable in the first, and well it was better imho.

I don't know if he should remake anything again. He makes better original concepts.

Take the 2006 remake, change it so that Billy and Agnes grew up in a condemned trailer, and have Rob Zombie's wife play their mom. Boom! Rob Zombie version. The end.

I know it's aquired taste, but I think Rob Zombie has got to be the most overrated horror movie director I've seen in a long time. He needs to stay away from existing properties.

No. The Halloween remakes sucked. the Black Christmas remake was horrible, & only RZ's 1st 2 films are good, great even.

I haven't seen Lords Of Salem but it looks like more of RZ disappearing up his own ass again ala RZ's H1 & 2. He may very well have another good film or 2 left in him, but as of lately, he's become a self parody & should just stick to music for now.

By the way, happy birthday Rob Zombie! I respect the guy & dug his music & his 1st 2 films but after he tarnished the name of Halloween, twice, I got very little sympathy for him. He deserves to be in movie purgatory for a little while.

Agreed. Zombie needs to simply p1ss off. As for remakes, what's the point? Most originals become classics - cult or mainstream - through genuine creepiness. The phone calls in Black Christmas evoke more tension and fear than any gore-strewn nastiness that Zombie has limited himself to. HOLLYWOOD, STOP WITH THE REMAKES.

No he shouldn't.
I think we all need a break from remakes for at least a few years or until they shelf cgi and go back to practical effects ;)
