the killer was....case closed

peter.

1. Yes, peter wasnt there with jess when billy called, but he was there afterwards when jess was informing the police. remember he was calling from the same house, so he got down there quickly.
2 he showed no remorse when finding out about the other girls dissapearence.
3. how could he know she was hiding down in the basement? he had to be damned sure to break the window.
4. at the end, the police officer says the morgue could not pick up all the bodies because there wasnt enough room. this implicates peter was left in the house. there is a scene of an empty bloody bed which is where his body was placed, and afterwards he moved. he never died.

peter=billy

"the killer was....case closed"

No it wasn't. There is no character in the movie named "case closed"

Peter does not equal Billy. Why? I met Keir Dullea not too long ago and we talked about this film at length. He said Peter is NOT the killer. Never was. Billy is real and alive and still in that house. Keir even signed a photo for me from the film where he said, "I didn't do it!" From the horse's mouth I'd say.

I watched Black Christmas earlier this week, keeping in mind all the posts about Peter being the killer. After watching the movie it’s obvious he’s just a red herring (albeit a well written and acted one). In fact, the movie really only has three unanswered questions:

1) Who exactly is Billy and what did he do to Agnes?

2) Who raped the girl from town?

3) Who killed the young girl in the park?

The reason this movie still has so much controversy all these years later is because it doesn’t answer any of these questions. (For the record, I’m glad it doesn’t.) Knowing too much about Billy robs the movie of mystery and suspense (see the anemic 2006 version). As for the rape, I don’t believe Billy did that, but I do believe he killed the girl in the park. Why? I can’t really say, just a hunch. Not knowing everything is a big part of the appeal of Black Christmas ’74. I do know, however, that Peter is not the killer. Keri Dullea really sells it, though.

Well hate to have to tell you, but when I met Keir Dullea at a fan event in 2018 he clearly stated it wasn't Peter. Not only that he said they all knew it wasn't. Peter was a red herring.
