The 90's show had a toy line, so why not this? I get that not every show has a toy line, but for something with this much of a following, how is it possible that no one at a ComicCon or something made some special, limited editions? They do this all the time with other toys from TV shows that were never made in their day.
shareJust a guess but a lot of that is controlled by the studio so most likely an agreement never came to be that Universal could live with.
shareThey had merchandise like lunch boxes and View Master reels. I don't think toys based on TV and movies were common until Star Wars (I only remember Six Million Dollar Man dolls from that era).
