What happened to Rick Marshall 3rd season

Someone made a logical deduction and put it here http://thatsmyskull.blogspot.com/2009/06/body-identified-as-missing-pa rk-ranger.html and close up of the newspaper headline and article http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3607/3616445862_cef543b0bb_o.jpg

I've just sent that newspaper image to the GF with "I remember this case from the '70s" in the subject line and "I followed this case closely back then" in the body.

I want to know if she'll pick up on the names.

Yes, that's well established. Check the links in the original post, there's a bit more to it, something which I had always wondered when I was a kid.

I was relooking at the 'newspaper article' and the file photo appears to have been taken in The Land of The Lost.

I saw what happened to rick is he was in a pylon while will and holly were outside. there was some noise possible earthquake and rick was already in the doorway being pulled in just as will and holly came through the door when they saw their dad on his way back home. that was end of season 2 or beginning of season 3. then out of the blue their uncle was there and kept the family together along with chukka.

Apparently I was no longer a fan of the series by then. I didn't know the father disappeared until I saw a rerun this morning. People always got on the island, but never get off. Poor Holly and Will.

Island? Land of the Lost took place in an enclosed universe. When they climbed to the top of the highest mountain, they looked in binoculars and saw their own rears

Dunno, but guess he was smart enough to jump ship after realizing that he was on the worst of the Sid and Marty Krofft shows. No offense to anyone who enjoyed this show, but the acting was so BAD that it was laughable. O.K., so the style of acting for the other Sid / Krofft shows was similar (Pufnstuf, Lidsville, Bugaloos, Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, etc), but the acting on Land of the Lost was absolutely the worst. It's no wonder that the two younger actors (and particularly the little girl) didn't have much of an acting career afterwards.

Wesley Eure has had a fairly long career.
Kathy Coleman went in other directions but remained close to the Hollllywood crowd.
Go to Facebook... they each have thousands of friends and are well loved by their fans.

BTW, name a handful of child actors that had a career after their series ended, that list is short and the reason why so many committed suicide or became raging drunks and drug addicts.

I blame it on the Sleaze Stack. That's really what I thought I was hearing. I guess the dragon who was "puffin' all that stuff" while wearing little go go boots on another show was to blame. 
