Which world would you visit?

OK, you may be thinking you'd never visit any of those "worlds" if you could. Even putting aside their disastrous ending, they're really expensive (at least in today's dollars) and have plenty of flaws pointed out here on IMDb. But this hypothetical is about preferences among the three romanticized settings. Which appeals to you most?

I suspect that the most popular answer would be Western World, partly for its relative recency, partly for all the TV and movie references to be made, and partly because it's what we see the most in this movie. Medieval World might give it a run for its money, considering all the Renaissance fairs. Then again, maybe that's a reason not to bother with Medieval World: It's little more than a renfair with robots.

But my vote is for Roman World. It's the most exotic. The one I'm most likely to learn from, tho I'd make sure to fact-check later. The one with the most comfortable-looking clothing. And the one with the best reputation for hygiene.

Medieval World for the adventure, Roman World for the lechery. 

I'd splurge and get the park-hopper.

That Daphne in Medieval World sure has something going for her.
We didn't get to see much in the movie of Roman World, so not enough info to be able to make a decision.
As a Kid I loved the Western Themed Areas in Amusement Parks.

Western World has real life places where you can experience some of it, though not as immersively as in the movie, since there are no Robots to serve your every fantasy, but real-life people.

Disneyland Paris, just like all Disneyparks obviously has the Frontierland Area, but they also have one of their onsite Hotels themed like a Wild West Town (Hotel Cheyenne) and it's one of the most popular Hotels at the Resort. There's also a Saloon-Bar at Disney Village.

In Germany (Bavaria) they have Pullman City which is a Wild West Theme Park where many visitors go dressed up in period costumes and you can even stay overnight within the Park.

Oi, I just asked almost the same question in the Westworld 2016 board. Hadn't seen yours yet.

Sig, you want a sig, here's a SIG-sauer!

What are all the choices? I would pick a "Father Knows Best" world with a Quantum Leap ability so you LOOK like a kid again...... or a "Peggy Sue Got Married" world where you LOOK like you are back in high school.

I was limiting the options to the three parks in this one movie: Western World, Medieval World, and Roman World.

reply

OK then I would pick Western World.

Probably a coin toss between Western World and Medieval World. Leaning to Medieval World first as it seems to have alot of potential for adventuring in and around the castle. Then Western World.

I wish theyd shown more of Roman World.

Now if you dont mind the lack of robots and direct combat there are some VERY high quality LARPS now. At least two elabourate Western ones and a recent Harry Potter themed one called College of Wizardry where they rent out a castle, and another one based in the 1920. And several others like a Battlestar Galactica LARP that uses a decommissioned battleship.
