Best Moments of Humor

One of the things about Vincent Price's movies were often the moments of quiet humor, many of which we see here:

--Inspector Boot finds the box of matches empty

--Merridew distresses that one of his dogs is going to faint; Chloe Moon takes a step back from him

--Lionheart as "Butch" with the cop

--Nuances shared between Lionheart and Edwina during Sprout's "surgery"

--Sergeant Dogge gets hit by a train over the radio

--Devlin critiques Lionheart's death at the end of the movie

Do you have any to add?

P.S. A serious, quiet moment was also Lionheart posing as the gravedigger at Maxwell's funeral.

Seems its all unanimous.

The blood spurting during Spool's surgery, Lionheart rolling his eyes during the surgery, the wiping of his brow.

The trampoline, which I never knew about this scene (I havent seen this movie in like 30+ years)

Butch and the policeman (and that the victim was Coral Browne, who Price married) is funnier the more outdated it gets, but yea, he had some good lines too. Rigg sitting there while Browne fried was pretty funny too.

The officer in the car killed on the traintrack over the radio was interesting. An uncounted victim.

I noticed the comment about Lionheart rewriting Shakespeare when Devlin opened the box to the heart. Very rich.

For me it was the scene when the maid walks in to see the severed head
on the bed and of course it rolls onto the floor and drops right next to her
and of course she screams her head off (ok yes pun intended.
Very predicable and very funny!

Other than the classic Butch scene the funniest scene to me is when Edward is massaging the Diana Dors character. She is trying to get away from him as he is trying to kill her but her husband looking at her through the bedroom window thinks that they are having an affair. I thought that it was a hilarious scene.

In addition to the ones mentioned, there's the scene following the strangulation of the cheating wife. He enters the street and (paraphrasing) tells the patrolman that the man upstairs is murdering his wife and the cop just says, "Oh, thanks."

For me, the absolute funniest moment of the whole movie is Lionheart is giving the woman a massage and she is moaning in pleasure, but from the outside it sounds as though they're having sex so the husband is furious. That scene made me laugh.

The decapitation scene cracked me up. It was one of the most darkly humourous scenes I've ever seen.
