i heard this movie is banned, or was banned. is it still banned? i know copies are hard to come by.

Back in the day early 70s it played for months if not years in the NY Metro area. The ad for the film in the NY papers ran for weeks if not months.

I see it got a run in Toronto on a double bill at an old porn cinema on a double bill with "What Do You Say to a ----- Lady?" beginning Dec. 14/73 (that's how it's advertised, I don't know what the missing word is). Never heard of the film again at rep. houses or anywhere. It's the crazy title that caught my attention when I was sifting through the archives of a Toronto newspaper.

This is a very, very good movie and shows that the white power structure is afraid of black folks waking up and recognizing societal game that has them in bondage.....freedom or freedumb?
