I thought that Lalo Schifrin made the music for this, i really was surprised he didnt as the sound remembers me of him.

Man, you read my mind! I was watching this one with a friend the other night and the whole time I kept going "Goddamn, this score is SOLID!" Definitely my favorite Goldsmith score.

I read recently that the original master tapes for this score were lost some time ago. There is a boot copy of this score in circulation which also includes the sound effects track, but is still very nice....

Another superb score by one of the most prolific composers ever. Better than the film, actually.

I agree.

Here's a YouTube rendition of the opening theme, plus some movie scenes. Dominik Hauser recorded it in stereo with a very good mix of instruments.
