Robin Hood was my first crush!

Did anyone else have a huuuuuge crush on him as a kid? He just seemed really charming and heroic.
I love Robin Hood in Robin Hood Men In Tights too. :)

reply

I had a crush on maid marrian

Dudes, I think this movie messed me up for life. I alternated between having a crush on Robin Hood and wanting to *be* Robin Hood. I blame this movie for my current romantic confusion! (ha ha)

BTW, someone mentioned An American Tail...Tony Toponi also set me up for a lifetime of falling for streetwise guys with cute accents!

reply

I had a HUGE crush on robin hood
Aww he was such a cutie.
and sooo brave :]
What charm that dear fox has.
haha
I love cartoons.

reply

are you kiddin??? I still do!!! what a fox hahaha

reply

"I think it's safe to say... foxes are just Foxy! End of story."

Love that interpretation! I agree :D

reply

when i saw for the first time "robin hood", i found my first love ;D!! when i was 5 i get my second love, but he didn't like the movie!! OVER AND OUT!!!i still know the movie by the heart!
I admit, i'm a freak!!! :D

reply

I never really had a crush on Robin Hood when I was a child (I was all about Prince Eric from the Little Mermaid); but over the summer I was watching Robin Hood with my younger cousins and developed a little crush on him! I know, and I am 21 years old! I think it got me when he says that he loves Maid Marion at the archery contest. So romantic! And the English accent doesn't hurt! :)

Robin Hood: Marian, my darling, I love you more than life itself.
^^yes, totally did me in...

reply

I agree. I still love this Robin Hood (and yes, Cary Elwes also makes a wonderful Robin Hood).

reply

It seems we've got some furries in this here thread...
GET THE NAPALM!

Kidding! =D Robin Hood is teh hawt, right? =3

reply

omg im so glad I'm not the only one. luckily nowadays i have crushes on real guys, but he is still the hottest cartoon fox around.

reply

Haha, oh man. He is, isn't he? GLEE. =^_^=

reply

OMG I can't believe so many people remember El Nombre! That was the best programme ever we used to watch in school - that Zorro dressed mouse who swung around on a rope whenever someone needed to spell something! And Little Juan! Ah sweet nostalgia!

*That's a smile, not an upside-down frown*

reply

Brian Bedford does have a dashing voice.

reply

i'm told that my first crush was Big Bird. but i can understand what y'all see in Robbie, whoever said Brian Bedford has a dashing voice is right on the money. And it's so cute how mushy he gets over Marian. This whole movie always gave me the warm fuzzies. I will admit though, to having a special spot in my heart for that mean ol' Sheriff. ^.^ i've always been weirdly fond of the bad guys.

I loved his voice, it's like *sighs* and I find him very charming and down-to-earth :)

If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all.

reply

Now I know that we can be attracted to cartoon characters, but dang I can never figure out how the heck I ended up attracted to a cartoon fox! Yes I thought Robin Hood was so cute when I was younger and I dont understand how that happened. I never found Simba attractive

Nicholaevna: "I thought Robin Hood was so cute when I was younger and I dont understand how that happened. I never found Simba attractive"

Well, Robin and Marian are both pretty human from the neck down. Simba wasn't.

reply

Yep me too (and i like john cusack) that voice is so velvety although the fact he was a cartton fox is a bit strange i supppose

reply

WOW! And here I thought I was the only one who had a thing for Robin Hood as the fox (and looking back I'm thinking Basil of Bakerstreet, too), and then looky here, theres a whole thread about it! WONDERFUL! lol. Disney probably puts one attractive (and I don't necessarily mean physically) male in each movie, lol. Well they certainly have enough attractive female characters. Meh, this train of thought could lead to a whole other thread about the 'Disney dead parents' thing. Whew. Yeah.

reply

OMG thank God I'm not the only one!! Well actually a couple of months ago I confessed to a friend that I fancied Robin Hood the fox, and she totally agreed that he's the perfect "man".
Hahahaha I thought I was really strange for fancying a cartoon fox, but it seems quite widespread!!
Robin Hood, Peter Pan, Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid, Prince Philip from Sleeping Beauty and Simba as a grown up lion. I loved them all!
OK I'm going to skulk away now...

I loved aladdin

reply

Well Disney makes 'em that way on purpose, so why WOULDN'T we like 'em? lol

reply

and here i thought i was probably the only person out there that had robin hood as my first crush...i wanted to be maid marion soooo badly:)

reply

oh man, i decided to watch robin hood today cuz i hadn't seen it in years...
one of the best disney voices ever
i have fallen.

reply

Yeah robin hood was great. I think perhaps it was because me and my brother were always sat down infront of cartoons especially as my dad is a big disney fan.

Im 26 M (and straight!) and there have been certain characters that i found attactive in a weird kind of way. Isnt it weird that most cartoon characters are always male though?

reply

You were attracted to Donald Duck :O

~×They can have the wOrld,, I'll create my Own×~

reply

Oh well, Donald Duck is a sailor and he never wears pants.

reply

lol i dont mean attracted like that. I meant there is something about the characters that i just liked about them...

i edited it for potential weirdness though heh

reply

I seriously thought I was the only one. :D His voice is just too sexy!

My other Disney crushes were Clopin from the Hunchback of Notre Dame and Basil from Great Mouse Detective.

And even though he wasn't Disney, my friend and I had the biggest crush on Dimitri from Anastasia.

reply

Yes! Basil and Dimitri as well, lol.

*blushes* I'm more in love with him now, at the age of 18, than I was then. I remember watching this movie before being able to speak or know what they were saying, and it's been my favorite Disney movie since the age of two. My mum says while I could speak some-mostly in my own language, the two names I knew were "Sonic (the hedgehog)" and "Robin Hood!"

I'm watching the end of the movie now on the new DVD I got for Christmas. lol. It looks all trippy...
