Worst edit ever?


Don't get me wrong I'm not talking about the context of the film but the editting alone. Did you feel that it was really sloppy? Also the sound was strange too.
I don't think that it is a matter of technical difficulties because of the era that the film was made. Same age or older films are way better than Mean Streets on the issue of editting and sound.

I liked the editing, it was made intentionally choppy at times to add to the chaos, which I thought was cool.

I liked that it is ragged and has somewhat of a "slapped-together" quality to it. Scorsese was just talking on TCM about how Brian De Palma told Scorsese that he needed to just stop re-cutting and leave the film as it was at that point, and Scorsese did just that.
