Hi, could you point out anything in the movie that claimed Bolo actually was dead? I always thought he simply couldn't get up and/or move because he was hit so much between the legs. lol ouch.
well, Han was pretty pissed orf.. as if he knew somehow that a weakness to Bolo (ball maybe) had been exploited.. so i doubt he'd go all "Attack! Kill!" if bolo was merely downed temporarily. just an opinion.
I heard that a well placed kick to the balls can actually kill a man. But im not sure if that true. In the movie casino they put ice picks through a guys balls and he's still alive. So it all depends on which movie u want to believe.
This is making my balls hurt just talking about it.
Nobody mentioned that after Bolo gets it in the family jewels, the camera cuts away and you hear another "whack" sound. Then you see him lying on the ground, Roper steps back and you see Bolos head hit the ground like he's dead. I figured the last "whack" sound was the killing blow, and it was left ambiguous, so maybe Roper hit him in the throat or other sensetive target and they just didn't show it.
He died from the nut shot. Doesn't matter how strong you are, balls are the great equalizer among men. A flick of the finger will cause pain, imagine a jump kick from a grown man.
Although it is possible that a kick to the 'Goolies' could cause internal bleeding and eventual death, there is no way it can cause instant death. For all we know Bolo simply passed out. Nobody declares him dead!
You are entitled to my opinion, whether you want it or not!!
That's not the way someone passes out. He clearly died. Whether it's realistic to die from a nut shot is debatable, but it's obvious he was meant to die from it.
He died of a typical movie illness. The script called for him to die, so he did.
I was just wondering this tonight when I saw it for the 30th time. It seems a premise of the movie that people die during martial arts fights, and rather sharply where you would expect just a knock out. At least the film is almost perfectly consistent in this regard.
