Who has seen this film?
Pretty strange stuff. Oddly intriguing.
shareI have, many times. First time was in the theater when it came out.
This movie, Don't Look In The Basement and What's The Matter With Helen were my two favorites as a young teen.
Very cool. This movie was made the year I was born. It had such a strange mood to it. I have to buy it on DVD.
shareI still like it after all these years. It was considered extremely shocking when it first came out. The mood, as you called it, is very representative of that time. It was very low budget and the dialogue is sometimes stupid but it was actually realistic enough of something that could (and does) happen that it's frightening. The remake was OK but I like the original better.
Some of the best horror films were made in the 70's: Suspiria and Texas Chainsaw Massacre and two that I failed to mention above. Night Of The Living Dead is unparalleled (IMO) but that was made in 1968.

I will. Thanks!
sharemany times during the 70s.
shareI’ve seen it many times. The only thing I dislike is the comic relief cops and their accompanying music. Other than that this movie is very raw and shocking. Since seeing this I’ve always enjoyed other films with David Hess as he’s always such a great villain.
shareI’ve watched it once. I love horror movies, and this one was really disturbing to me, as I’m sure it’s supposed to be. I felt like I should have been arrested after watching it, and there are only a few films I’ve watched where I felt that way afterwards, lol.
Wes had some balls back in the day. He really went for it, and didn’t hold back much. This film is a prime example.
And like most classic horror films, it was neutered with a shitty remake.
