I'm not good with names but in order, I liked Jenny, then the author he met at university, then the land mine activist French chick that Fake John Boy met in Paris. Each one was most appropriate for the stage of life that he was at at the time.

The mirror... it's broken.
Yes, I know. I like it that way. Makes me look the way I feel.

John Boy was such a ladies man. LOL

I think he should have married Jenny!

reply

I really liked Jenny and he would have had a very nice wife in her.

And, considering how on the show his writing career didn't work out...until the reunion movies...and he ended up coming back home, he should have went ahead and married Daisy.

reply

I always liked Jenny and hoped they would have married.

For those of you who may have never seen it ...

The actress that portrayed Jenny (Sian Barbara Allen) also appeared in a movie Richard Thomas was in.

"You'll Like My Mother" a made-for-TV movie from 1972

It also stars Patty Duke.

It's a pretty good movie if you ever get a chance to see it.

If you view Sian Barbara Allen's IMDb page the small photo at top is from the movie.

That is a good one. I like daisy in her debuts ep and it grew boring. Jenny is my choice

reply

I remember that movie and it was a gem. Well worth watching Richard Thomas in his pre-John Boy days.

reply

I saw that movie! Years ago on television. And it scared me enough that it's stuck in my mind! 

Well,a t the time i wanted him to marry me. i imagined myself meeting him when he came to England to write a story. i was working in a library at that time, and it was easy to imagine John-boy coming to the library to do research and meeting me there. And naturally he would decide to stay in England to be with me. libraries weren't that much different in the 70s than they were in the 40s - so imagining myself as a 40s girl wasn't too hard.

I wanted to marry him too!

i expect there were quite a few of us about!

reply

Jenny Pendleton, to be sure. I think she and John-Boy would have been great together.

reply

My favorite was Simone the French girl he was with before he had to rush home when Ben was taken prisoner.

reply

Jenny was sweet and family-oriented. Janet was too stuck up and self-centered.
